What’s on your desk?

I love fresh flowers and indulge in them whenever I need a good dopamine boost or just a change of scenery, so you can count on getting a nice whiff of floral goodness wherever I am stationary. I am also obsessed with Aquaphor and good hand cream so if you’re ever in need of either I’m your girl!

What are you reading/listening to/watching right now?

I’d be lying if I said I don’t watch my fair share of reality TV! I also love Yellowstone and while I try my best to summon my inner Beth Dutton when cornered, I fold every time.

Pets?

We have two cats - Tiger and Tessi, respectively. Make no mistake, they run our house and we just pay the rent! My husband and I are planning on getting our son a puppy for his birthday in April but cannot, for the life of us, decide on a breed. I have never owned a dog so this is new territory for me! Please don’t hesitate to email me your tips, suggestions, pros and cons lists, thoughts and prayers.

Favorite research project you’re working on, that is if you were a scientist?

SUCH a good question! I’m a big science news follower but I wouldn’t have a clue as to how to actually create waves in the scientific community myself … in fact, I’m pretty sure I would just end up breaking something. I think I’d like to work on a couple of projects though, perhaps one that focuses on how to safely use genetically modified engineering of crops to fight world hunger or one that aims to prevent incurable diseases with our own human gene code.

Favorite vacation destination?

Anywhere that’s warm, sunny and has an ocean view:)

What did you want to be when you were little?

I went through a few phases! On the top of my list were: writer, astronaut, explorer and paleontologist … I knew all the dinosaurs, I was THAT kid.

If you could pick any superpower, what would it be?

The power to fly!
