Watch For Me OK | Outreach Coordinator; Intern
Who We Are
The Outreach Coordinator will be a part-time, temporary Anglin employee and will work closely with the ACOG Traffic Planning staff, and their supporting firm, Anglin to grow the organization’s presence throughout the ACOG region from late January 2025 to mid-October 2025. The coordinator will attend in-person events, with heavy emphasis on weekend events, support remote outreach (calls and email contacts) during regular business hours for communications and promotions projects, and provide writing and digital content. Event attendance will be determined by the ACOG staff, based on need. Communications, writing projects and digital strategy support will be determined by Anglin staff.
The Job
● Research events and outreach opportunities across the ACOG region
● Attend in person events, with mostly weekend requirements
○ The coordinator will learn WFM key messaging and safety best-practices (proper bike helmet fitting, basic laws around pedestrian and bicyclist protections)
● Conduct outreach to municipalities and organizations with the potential to advance the WFM mission, including: calls to coordinate social media shares and WFM branded content, calls to facilitate news pitches, delivering WFM branded collateral to partnering organizations, etc.
● Write content and review digital analytics to recommend topics for social media content, blog posts, etc.
● Attend regular ACOG/Anglin meetings and maintain a regular check-in meetings with ACOG staff and Anglin staff, respectively
Required Skills & Experience
Location and Travel: This position will require travel about 50% of the time to events in central Oklahoma. The majority of the office hours will be spent working remotely, with the occasional in-office days at both ACOG (4205 N Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73105) and Anglin (720 NW 50th St #200, Oklahoma City, OK 73118).
Salary Range
Compensation and Hours:
● The coordinator will work approximately 10-15 hours per week; including drive time
● The position pays $16 per hour
● This position is part time and doesn’t qualify for benefits.
